It has LOA of 84.3 metres and a beam of 18 metres. Capable of running on liquefied natural gas (LNG), it is designed to operate in the Spanish Antarctic Bases and will allow the study of ecosystems, habitats and seabeds at depths of up to 6,000 metres.
Sedni has supplied the Integrated Automation System diamar® for the vessel to reach the AUT-UMS class notation, by monitoring engines, propulsion and several other equipment in the engine room. It also integrates the control and monitoring of the Power Managment System (PMS), remote control of pumps, valves and fans in the engine room.
Another worth mentioning equipment supplied by Sedni, is the Emergency Shut Down System (ESD). Implemented with the diamar® equipment, and of course, classified by the IACS LRS. This equipment, by means of dedicated gas detection in areas susceptible to undesirable leaks, controls the emergency shutdowns on the gas supply system for engines, vents and automatic doors in critical areas.
